Elegance in Vintage Beauty

vintage glamor jewelryI love vintage- it has such a charming feel to it as well as that one of a kind factor. During my recent travels I found myself very fortunate to come across this beauty of a set.

Not since I was a child playing with my mother’s jewelry have I seen something or had something like this- everything about it I love.

The colors, the cuts, the shine, the uniqueness and simplicity manifested into something so great- I am so happy with this new piece alone- not to mention the beautiful pieces that came along with it.

Now this is one gorgeous cocktail ring, and a beautiful match. This along with the bracelet it came with below are absolutely pretty and fabulous. I am so delighted!

It was completely unexpected, too- during our drive up to a vineyard in Washington, we stopped for a quick bite to eat. It was this charming little shopping area consisting mostly of bookstores and specialty shops. While deciding where to eat, a friend and I stepped into a store that had caught her eye. I naturally followed as my curiosity is always high. I fell in love with this darling little shop, the moment I saw this set it was love.

I found some other gems, too- but perhaps that is for a later time. I think these pieces are so beautiful by themselves and should be viewed as such.

Anchor Me Some Accessories Aweigh

Another beauty from my shopping incident the other day- I love it. This adorable little set looks like candy to me, it just pops with its bold cherry red color against the oh so bright white. It is perfect.

So darling and playful, I love it. Ready for a cruise or something of the sort, very inspiring. In the meantime they add character to any outfit.

They’ve put me in the mood for a cozy night with a movie- Anchors Aweigh in fact! Gene Kelly and Frank Sinatra, what is there not to love? Jerry from Tom & Jerry even makes an appearance, as one of my favorite childhood cartoons it makes it even more cozy and lovable.

Feather Fashion

Feathers and fashion, they can be a nice compliment to one another or an absolute mess. I think some well thought out and creatively placed feathers can come together lovely.

No one wants to look like they are wearing a chicken suit or are nesting birds in their hair, but again- a few subtle touches are beautiful and elegant.

I found this bracelet a while ago as part of a set. I loved the colors and softness on a bangle, and it would work well with most any outfit, especially those of browns and neutral shades.

Now, the set the shop had suggested with it would have been far too much for me. I think they were trying to hard to make it work- a chain link necklace draped in matching feathers, large earrings with the same…. yikes. Even those two pieces alone were enough to scream coo coo. But the bracelet was nice and simple- I think that is definitely key.

Most elegant and fashionable pieces are simple, which makes them so bold and beautiful. I am all for feathers- in small amounts and worn well.

Glamorous & Beautiful Rings For Fashion

I did some shopping today, some premeditated some unexpected. I was looking for some classic and simple dresses and perhaps some unique shawls or sweaters, when there was this unexpected box by the door just filled with rings. It looked like trash (all the price tags covered the items making them indistinguishable) and so I don’t think everyone realized what it was.

It became my treat to find some true gems. Natural curiosity and a box of unknown items in a fashion shop, you know I am going to indulge and risk one of the nine lives.

I found something for all occasions, and best yet they actually fit me- you have no idea how big a deal that is for me, lol. I almost always have to custom order my rings (which is fine), otherwise I am stuck with the kiddie one size to fit all sort of thing. Hum drum but will do. I am a ring size 4, so when they are available they never have enough to last.

I like the elegant simplicity of this black gemstone ring. I can wear it casually or in the evening with a nice dress. It is subtle and devilish. This one is just too fun, makes me feel a bit armed and dangerous if you will. I love the detail and cute play of a simple design.

Yay, pretty new little toys. Such a delight and inspiration.

Alright, this next one is a slight change from your usual multi beaded loose ring- if you look closely (you can tell more when the ring moves) there are little golden flakes of leaves that are mixed among the beads.

It redefines the ring, I think, and sets it apart from the others of that style. Makes it a bit more dainty and delicate.

I like the gold with the white, too- it leaves a lot of room for incorporating it into the wardrobe.

And then finally there is this classic little fun and bold ring. Looks nice in dimmer lighting, has that nice way of catching the light just right. Very easy to wear with any style of outfit, day or night.

Here are my new fashion accessories of inspiration. I am looking forward to playing with them and matching them with different outfits from day to day.

Delightfully Timeless Tiffany & Co

Its the little blue box that is always cheering me up and keeping me happy. Forever classic and beautiful, the name Tiffany & Co. brings a sparkle to the eye.

From the simple charming and cute pieces to the elaborate and significant occasion collections, every item with the name is treasured.

Maybe you have only one piece, or are nearing on your first- its that connection that is so charming and delightful. Tiffany’s has pieces that are forever treasured in history, having the smallest of pieces for yourself connects you to the greatness of the past and excites you to a greater future.

There is just something special about them that is untouchable. Its pure and loved and warm. Its quite difficult not to smile when thinking of the name alone.

Yes, I think everyone should have at least one piece from Tiffany & Co. Something to keep as a little luxury for themselves.

Even if it is just one little piece.

All The Little Of The Fashion Lot

Accessories make the fashion world go round- not to mention the key statement pieces whose statements speak loud and bold. As for me, they are pieces that will always be in- the ones with the pure classic element to them. Then of course there are the now of the moment daring pieces that are simply fun and pretty to look at as much as they are to wear.

The Hermes Kelly bag will always have a place in my eyes, and I am quite fond of the inspired watch created in its namesake. Still classic with definite lines of elegance, it is a beautiful piece.

If the price seems more than comfortable now- take in inspiration to find that feel of beauty. No copies, there’s no love in them. Something that speaks that same statement to you.

Though not everyone may agree with me- but love it or hate it, the Balenciaga Boot Shoe is taking notice. I love it, there is something about it I find absolutely beautiful and somehow elegant. Its daring and playful- exactly the right balance of pushing the line but staying within it. Whatever your statement shoe is- find it, wear it, own it- no matter what people say. If you love it then love it. They will come to love it too- more so love you.

Balenciaga’s cuff bracelet above has that industrial yet incredibly elegant feel about it, too.

The Fendi B-Buckle belt is a statement piece noticed and appreciated as much as it is from afar and up close. Bold lines of elegance. Belts are wonderful- make them skinny, make them big, make them colorful or make them neutral-pretty little decorative buckle and you are set. Even a ribbon can come in as a cute and creative alternative. Just take a look at Oscar De La Renta’s creation below.

Find a look, find a statement, change it up or keep it classic- but by all means love it.

Wonderland In Spring

It is a wonderland of pretty and perhaps one for the dreamworld for now; I cannot help but reflect upon Dior’s fantasy rings. The name alone says extravagant, and I cannot help but admire it.

The rings are quite expensive, and their materials warrant the price. It isn’t something I have at the moment, but that won’t stop me from acquiring similar ideas in my wardrobe. I love vintage as much as the new and I will be looking for broaches and pins with a floral and/or colored stone design to wear in my hair, on my scarf, on my purse, or even on my jewelry (maybe a broach holding together a strand of pearls around my neck or wrist). It is fun to experiment, and most of the time the results are pretty.
